Hot Springs begins the ‘Safer At Home’ Phase 2 for NC on Friday, May 22nd at 5pm. Phase 2 will have a duration of at least 5 weeks.
Short-term lodging rentals are allowed and businesses are beginning to reopen. Scroll down for the status of events and a list of open stores. As information changes daily, please also contact businesses directly for hours and services. Social distancing, sanitizing hands and wearing a mask are still encouraged for the safety of our residents and visitors.

Hot Springs Resort & Spa is closed for all services through May 31st. Their gradual reopening plans are as follows. Phone lines open June 1st and mineral soaks begin Friday, June 5th with limited hours and availability. No Walk-In Appointments! The Spa building will remain closed for retail sales. No massage appointments until further notice. Lodging will gradually open beginning Tuesday, June 16th and be limited to cabins and RV sites. Tent camping will be delayed until mid-July, and reservations shall not be made until after July 7th.
The Pisgah National Forest has lifted restrictions and reopened most trails, roads and recreations areas. Read Forest Service Alerts for Pisgah National Forest.
Festivals – Bluff Mountain Music Festival, French Broad River Festival, Wild Goose Festival and the Independence Day Fireworks are all CANCELLED for 2020.

Bluff Mountain Outfitters – Open Monday through Friday from 10-4, Saturday 10-5 and Closed Sunday. Check their Facebook Page for updates.
Gentry Hardware – Open with courteous side-door service. Hours are generally Mon-Fri 8-5, Sat 8-2 and closed Sunday. Check their Facebook Page for daily featured items and updates on hours and contact info.

Smoky Mountain Diner – Open for take-out every day except Sunday. Hours vary- Mon 7-7; Tues 11-7; Wed-Fri 7-7 and Sat 8-7. They are offering a full menu, daily specials and a 1-topping pizza for $10. They update their Facebook Page regularly.

Trailside Bakery & Cafe – New eatery in the heart of town is now open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11-7 for carryout and has outdoor seating. Find their evolving menu offerings and hours on their Facebook Page.
