SUMMARY:Shape Note Singing Workshop at Rare Bird Farm
DESCRIPTION:Please Register in advance for live music events on our website.\n\n\n\n\nShape Note Singing Workshop with Maddy & Clarke\nShape-note singing—also known as Sacred Harp singing—is a thriving American folk tradition where four-part harmonies are sung a cappella based on geometric shapes instead of standard staff notes. Rather than aiming for performance, singers sing for community joy and connection.\nSingers Clarke Williams and Maddy Mullany are both actively involved in the robust Southeast Shape Note Singing and Christian Harmony communities, frequently leading sessions and participating in singings across North Carolina and the broader region.\n\n\n\n\n
